I am starting a garden and was excited to order garden soil in bulk. I contacted a few places around me, and mulch mound was the first (and so far only) place that responded. Mo was very helpful and knowledgeable. It made my experience as a new customer a fabulous one. I highly recommend! I am very excited to start gardening this summer with the right soil for a raised garden!

Answer
Is delivered soil safe for vegetables?
Safe for edibles, yes. Our garden mixes contain no harmful materials. Organic certified options available for those who want them.
Mulch Mound Pro Tip
Spring is the best time to add topsoil in Baltimore for most projects. Soil has fully thawed, seasonal rains help natural settling, and you have the entire growing season ahead for plants to establish.
Mulch Mound Pro Tip
Rough up compacted subsoil with a garden fork before adding topsoil on top. This helps the layers bond together properly and prevents water from pooling at the interface between them.
Mulch Mound Pro Tip
Never spread topsoil over frozen ground during Baltimore winters. It will not bond with the frozen soil below and will wash away completely with the first heavy spring rain, wasting your money.
