My experience with Mulch Mound was great and super easy. I ordered two yards of screened topsoil and was able to get it delivered within 2 days. They came in my requested time frame (afternoon) and dropped it off where I asked on my driveway. The topsoil was exactly what was advertised, clean with no rocks or other debris. The price was reasonable. I plan to use them again in a couple weeks to order compost for my garden beds.

I ordered soil, the Gardening Blend that I received had too many plastic and metal pieces for my liking thus lowering the score from a perfect 5/5 to a 4/5

Centralia sits at just 164 feet above sea level where the Chehalis and Skookumchuck rivers meet, and that low, flat river plain shapes almost every yard in town. The silt loam here holds water beautifully in July and turns to soup in January, especially in the older blocks around the Centralia Downtown Historic District where mature maples and street trees compete for the same saturated root zone. With 48 inches of rain a year, homeowners from Fords Prairie out to Chehalis and Rochester need bark and compost that breathe rather than mat down, plus washed stone for the driveways and swales that carry runoff away from foundations. Up the valley toward Tumwater the grade picks up slightly, so we see more retaining rock and less standing water. Zone 8b gives this area a long, forgiving season, from an April 20 last frost to an October 25 first frost, which means beds stay visible and working nearly year round.
