With 54 inches of annual rainfall, established neighborhoods near the Snowden Grove corridor see real runoff challenges on sloped lots, and a good layer of stone or mulch goes a long way toward keeping beds in place. Horn Lake and Hernando residents share many of the same Zone 7b planting rhythms, with a growing window that opens around March 20 and stays productive well into November before the first frost arrives.
