My experience with Mulch Mound was great and super easy. I ordered two yards of screened topsoil and was able to get it delivered within 2 days. They came in my requested time frame (afternoon) and dropped it off where I asked on my driveway. The topsoil was exactly what was advertised, clean with no rocks or other debris. The price was reasonable. I plan to use them again in a couple weeks to order compost for my garden beds.

The website was intuitive and easy to navigate. The material was delivered the date and time it was scheduled, it was dropped off in the area i had specified on top of my tarp with no issues.

I ordered soil, the Gardening Blend that I received had too many plastic and metal pieces for my liking thus lowering the score from a perfect 5/5 to a 4/5

Answer

Is there a stone yard or rock yard near Escondido?

Driving to a stone yard and loading a truck bed is one way to start a pathway job around Grape Day Park, but having the stone dropped in the driveway saves the trip. The same Decomposed Granite or River Rock a rock yard sells can come to your address in Escondido, ready for the job.

Answer

What materials do you deliver in Escondido?

Because clay loam drains slowly and bakes hard in summer, mulch is the first thing most Escondido yards need, followed by compost, topsoil and garden soil to build up beds. We also deliver gravel and crushed stone, landscape rock, fill dirt and sand for paths, grading and hardscape bases.

Answer

How is bulk material sold in Escondido, and how much do I need?

A mulch bed circling a shade tree near Grape Day Park in Escondido is a good example, since a patch of 200 square feet at 3 inches deep calls for about 2 cubic yards, because one cubic yard spreads across roughly 100 square feet at that depth. Bulk loads are sold by the cubic yard and dropped where you want them. Our landscape material calculator can check your own measurements.

Answer

Which towns near Escondido do you deliver to?

Ramona, San Diego Country Estates, Valley Center, Poway, and San Marcos are among the towns we serve around Escondido. Delivery to any other address can be confirmed by typing its ZIP code in while you shop, before you place the order. That way you know your spot is covered ahead of time.

Answer

Do you install or spread mulch in Escondido?

Sloped, rolling lots around Escondido can make a big pile tricky to move, so planning the drop spot matters. Mulch Mound brings the material to you but does not spread it, and the driver can place it on the driveway, on a tarp, or close to your beds. A local landscaper can take over the spreading if you prefer.

Get Started with Mulch Mound Today

Escondido sits at 646 feet in a sun-drenched inland valley where the Mediterranean climate pushes landscapes hard through long, dry summers and mild winters. The city's clay loam soil drains slowly and compacts under the summer heat, making organic mulch essential for protecting root zones and keeping moisture where plants need it most. With just 14 inches of rain falling annually, every drop counts, and a thick layer of wood chip or bark mulch over beds can be the difference between a thriving garden and a struggling one. The rolling terrain around Grape Day Park and the hillside neighborhoods east of Centre City Parkway also create real erosion risks when those winter rains finally arrive, making decomposed granite and river rock smart choices for slope stabilization. Whether you are refreshing a backyard in the flats near Kit Carson Park or building out a xeriscape on a hillier lot, bulk delivery of quality soil, mulch, and stone gives Escondido homeowners the foundation their landscapes need.
