My experience with Mulch Mound was great and super easy. I ordered two yards of screened topsoil and was able to get it delivered within 2 days. They came in my requested time frame (afternoon) and dropped it off where I asked on my driveway. The topsoil was exactly what was advertised, clean with no rocks or other debris. The price was reasonable. I plan to use them again in a couple weeks to order compost for my garden beds.

I ordered soil, the Gardening Blend that I received had too many plastic and metal pieces for my liking thus lowering the score from a perfect 5/5 to a 4/5

Rainbow City sits at 518 feet on the bluffs and rolling shoulders above the Coosa River, where yards slope toward the water and rain has a habit of taking topsoil with it. The ground here is classic Etowah County red clay, dense and iron stained, which bakes into brick during August and turns to slick paste after one of the 55 inch rain years this stretch of northeast Alabama is known for. Homeowners from the neighborhoods off Rainbow Drive to the older lots in Southside and Glencoe usually need compost blended soil to break that clay before anything roots properly. Stone earns its keep on the steeper cuts, holding driveway edges and swales that would otherwise wash out by spring. We haul mulch, screened topsoil, and river rock across the river to Gadsden, Attalla, and out toward Boaz and Albertville, and we know which loads a clay lot actually needs.
