I had a great experience with Mulch Mound. I had originally ordered from a competitor but they didn’t deliver (pun intended) on the various days they had promised. I was able to get a refund on the order and shop elsewhere. I read the good reviews for this company and decided to give them a try. Commercial and newer residential lots in Oxford were usually cut and filled during construction, so the fine grade is often subsoil rather than topsoil. Do not just cap it with mulch. Rip or till the compacted layer four to six inches deep first, then bring in a screened topsoil and compost blend. Mulch applied over unbroken hardpan sheds water sideways and starves anything you plant in it.
