I used Mulch Mound to have 3 cubic yards of garden soil delivered. The process was easy and I love that I didn't have to call anyone. I placed my order online, picked my delivery date, laid out my tarp and the dirt was delivered. My delivery had to be pushed back, but I was kept informed via text, which was great. So why not 5 stars? The description of garden soil on the website is "A balanced mix of topsoil and organic amendments ready for raised beds, flower gardens, and new planting areas. Good drainage, solid nutrients, easy to work with." What I got was more like fill dirt. It had a lot of gravel, a lot of clay, and random trash mixed in. I didn't test the soil to see if it actually had "amendments" because I already have compost and alpaca manure ready to add, but if I'd known the quality of the dirt was going to be the same as the bagged dirt I bought last year, I probably would have gotten 2 yards of top soil and a yard of leaf compost for better quality, especially since the leaf compost is cheaper. Photo of my mountain of dirt and just some of the trash I found in it.

Complete Your Lochbuie Outdoor Project
We’ve got you covered with our full line of landscape supply products, from premium mulch and quality soil to decorative stone, helping you create a cohesive, professional landscape that enhances your property for years to come.
New construction lots in Lochbuie often have severely compacted soil left behind by heavy equipment during the building process. Before planting anything, order bulk screened topsoil from MulchMound and spread a minimum of six inches across all planting areas to give roots a loose, nutrient-rich zone to establish in. Combining that fresh topsoil layer with deep watering cycles during the first growing season will jumpstart plant establishment and reduce the loss rate on trees, shrubs, and perennials.

Try Our CalculatorLochbuie's open plains setting means wind is a constant landscape challenge, particularly in spring when newly planted areas are most vulnerable to soil erosion. Applying a three-inch layer of bulk shredded hardwood mulch over any bare soil immediately after grading or planting creates a physical barrier that prevents topsoil from blowing away before plants are established. MulchMound can deliver large quantities to newly built Lochbuie lots so you can cover the entire property in one efficient step before the spring wind season peaks.
Delivering to Lochbuie, Colorado
Primary ZIP: 80603Lochbuie residents can reduce outdoor water consumption significantly by grouping plants with similar water needs together and mulching those zones heavily. A three-inch layer of bulk wood chip mulch from MulchMound applied over drought-tolerant plantings keeps soil moisture available for days longer after each watering or rain event. In a region that averages only fifteen inches of annual rainfall, that extended moisture retention can mean the difference between plants that thrive and ones that struggle through hot July and August weeks.
