I used Mulch Mound to have 3 cubic yards of garden soil delivered. The process was easy and I love that I didn't have to call anyone. I placed my order online, picked my delivery date, laid out my tarp and the dirt was delivered. My delivery had to be pushed back, but I was kept informed via text, which was great. So why not 5 stars? The description of garden soil on the website is "A balanced mix of topsoil and organic amendments ready for raised beds, flower gardens, and new planting areas. Good drainage, solid nutrients, easy to work with." What I got was more like fill dirt. It had a lot of gravel, a lot of clay, and random trash mixed in. I didn't test the soil to see if it actually had "amendments" because I already have compost and alpaca manure ready to add, but if I'd known the quality of the dirt was going to be the same as the bagged dirt I bought last year, I probably would have gotten 2 yards of top soil and a yard of leaf compost for better quality, especially since the leaf compost is cheaper. Photo of my mountain of dirt and just some of the trash I found in it.

Complete Your Sansom Park Outdoor Project
We’ve got you covered with our full line of landscape supply products, from premium mulch and quality soil to decorative stone, helping you create a cohesive, professional landscape that enhances your property for years to come.
Sansom Park homeowners looking to reduce lawn maintenance should explore converting portions of their turf to mulched planting beds anchored by native, drought-tolerant shrubs like Texas sage or dwarf yaupon holly. These plants thrive in Zone 8b with minimal supplemental water once established, and a three-inch layer of bulk hardwood mulch around their bases keeps weeds down and soil temperatures stable through both summer heat and the occasional hard freeze before November 14. This approach cuts mowing time, lowers water bills, and adds lasting structure to the landscape.

Try Our CalculatorSansom Park homeowners can improve the long-term health of their landscape by spreading a two to three inch layer of bulk compost across all planting beds each spring, just after the last frost date of March 21. Compost works directly against the dense clay soil common throughout Tarrant County, loosening its structure, feeding soil microbes, and improving drainage so plant roots can spread deeply rather than sitting in waterlogged ground. Ordering compost in bulk from MulchMound.com makes this annual treatment affordable enough to do consistently every year.

Primary ZIP: 76106Sansom Park residents looking to create outdoor living areas can use bulk crushed granite as a cost effective and low-maintenance patio or pathway surface. Decomposed granite compacts into a firm, level surface that drains well even after heavy Zone 8b spring rains, making it far less prone to puddling than bare soil or poorly graded concrete. It also stays cooler underfoot than paved surfaces during summer afternoons. MulchMound.com delivers bulk granite directly to your Sansom Park address, making large patio projects straightforward to complete.
