I used Mulch Mound to have 3 cubic yards of garden soil delivered. The process was easy and I love that I didn't have to call anyone. I placed my order online, picked my delivery date, laid out my tarp and the dirt was delivered. My delivery had to be pushed back, but I was kept informed via text, which was great. So why not 5 stars? The description of garden soil on the website is "A balanced mix of topsoil and organic amendments ready for raised beds, flower gardens, and new planting areas. Good drainage, solid nutrients, easy to work with." What I got was more like fill dirt. It had a lot of gravel, a lot of clay, and random trash mixed in. I didn't test the soil to see if it actually had "amendments" because I already have compost and alpaca manure ready to add, but if I'd known the quality of the dirt was going to be the same as the bagged dirt I bought last year, I probably would have gotten 2 yards of top soil and a yard of leaf compost for better quality, especially since the leaf compost is cheaper. Photo of my mountain of dirt and just some of the trash I found in it.

Complete Your Glendale Outdoor Project
We’ve got you covered with our full line of landscape supply products, from premium mulch and quality soil to decorative stone, helping you create a cohesive, professional landscape that enhances your property for years to come.
Choosing the right mulch color can dramatically change how Glendale's brick-accented homes read from the street. Dark brown or black-dyed mulch creates strong contrast against red brick facades and makes green foliage pop in summer beds. Natural hardwood mulch fades to a soft gray over the season, which tends to complement stone or gray-painted exteriors more effectively than darker options. Considering the dominant exterior color of your home before placing a bulk order ensures the final result looks cohesive rather than accidental.

Try Our CalculatorNatural stone borders and stepping-stone pathways add lasting structure to Glendale landscapes without requiring the ongoing maintenance that organic mulch demands. Locally sourced limestone or Missouri flat stone integrates beautifully with the mature plantings typical of Glendale yards. Setting stones on a half-inch sand bed keeps them level through the freeze and thaw cycles common in Zone 5b winters, and a clean stone border makes spring mulch refresh much easier each season.
Clean, defined bed edges make a dramatic difference in how polished Glendale's residential gardens look year-round. A steel or aluminum edging strip installed at grade keeps mulch from migrating onto turf and prevents grass from creeping into beds. For homeowners who prefer a natural look, a hand-cut spade edge dug two to three inches deep works well in Glendale's sandy loam, which cuts cleanly and holds a crisp line throughout the growing season.
Get Started with Mulch mound Today
Glendale is a small, close-knit city in west St. Louis County where residents take visible pride in neighborhood appearance and put real effort into maintaining that standard from one season to the next. Tree-lined streets and carefully tended yards reflect a community culture that longtime homeowners actively protect and pass along. Because Glendale is largely built out, landscape refreshes and material upgrades drive most of the material demand rather than new construction. MulchMound supports Glendale homeowners with bulk deliveries of mulch, decorative stone, and topsoil that make improving an established landscape both practical and cost-effective.
