I used Mulch Mound to have 3 cubic yards of garden soil delivered. The process was easy and I love that I didn't have to call anyone. I placed my order online, picked my delivery date, laid out my tarp and the dirt was delivered. My delivery had to be pushed back, but I was kept informed via text, which was great. So why not 5 stars? The description of garden soil on the website is "A balanced mix of topsoil and organic amendments ready for raised beds, flower gardens, and new planting areas. Good drainage, solid nutrients, easy to work with." What I got was more like fill dirt. It had a lot of gravel, a lot of clay, and random trash mixed in. I didn't test the soil to see if it actually had "amendments" because I already have compost and alpaca manure ready to add, but if I'd known the quality of the dirt was going to be the same as the bagged dirt I bought last year, I probably would have gotten 2 yards of top soil and a yard of leaf compost for better quality, especially since the leaf compost is cheaper. Photo of my mountain of dirt and just some of the trash I found in it.

We’ve got you covered with our full line of landscape supply products, from premium mulch and quality soil to decorative stone, helping you create a cohesive, professional landscape that enhances your property for years to come.
Youngtown residents refinishing their front yards should pay close attention to proper edging before laying any new decomposed granite. Installing a sturdy metal or plastic landscape border along sidewalks and driveways keeps granite from migrating onto pavement during Youngtown's infrequent but occasionally heavy monsoon rains. A clean edge line also gives mature desert landscapes a polished appearance that complements the pride homeowners in this historic community take in their curb appeal.

Try Our CalculatorYoungtown gardeners with established desert landscapes should consider refreshing their organic mulch in tree wells and shrub beds every one to two years. Because organic materials like shredded wood break down faster in Youngtown's heat, the layer thins out and loses its ability to insulate roots and hold moisture. A fresh two inch top dressing each fall restores that protective barrier and adds a small but meaningful boost of organic matter back into the sandy loam soil beneath.
Delivering to Youngtown, Arizona
Primary ZIP: 85363For Youngtown homeowners thinking about adding a new patio or sitting area, decomposed granite stabilized with a liquid polymer binder is worth considering as a base surface. The binder firms up loose granite into a walkable, dust reduced surface that still allows water to penetrate during monsoon rains. It requires far less maintenance than plain loose granite and keeps material from tracking onto nearby sidewalks and driveways that residents in this community work hard to keep tidy.
