I had a great experience with Mulch Mound. I had originally ordered from a competitor but they didn’t deliver (pun intended) on the various days they had promised. I was able to get a refund on the order and shop elsewhere. I read the good reviews for this company and decided to give them a try. Mulch depth matters more than mulch brand in Sparks. Spread bark or wood chips three to four inches deep over planting beds, then pull it back about two inches from trunks and stems. That depth blocks enough sunlight to shade out cheatgrass and puncturevine while cutting evaporation losses dramatically in a climate that only sees seven inches of rain a year.
