I used Mulch Mound to have 3 cubic yards of garden soil delivered. The process was easy and I love that I didn't have to call anyone. I placed my order online, picked my delivery date, laid out my tarp and the dirt was delivered. My delivery had to be pushed back, but I was kept informed via text, which was great. So why not 5 stars? The description of garden soil on the website is "A balanced mix of topsoil and organic amendments ready for raised beds, flower gardens, and new planting areas. Good drainage, solid nutrients, easy to work with." What I got was more like fill dirt. It had a lot of gravel, a lot of clay, and random trash mixed in. I didn't test the soil to see if it actually had "amendments" because I already have compost and alpaca manure ready to add, but if I'd known the quality of the dirt was going to be the same as the bagged dirt I bought last year, I probably would have gotten 2 yards of top soil and a yard of leaf compost for better quality, especially since the leaf compost is cheaper. Photo of my mountain of dirt and just some of the trash I found in it.

Complete Your Lennox Outdoor Project
We’ve got you covered with our full line of landscape supply products, from premium mulch and quality soil to decorative stone, helping you create a cohesive, professional landscape that enhances your property for years to come.
In Lennox, where yard sizes are modest and water bills add up fast, replacing thirsty turf with a decomposed granite pathway edged by low-growing native ground covers is one of the highest-impact upgrades you can make. Decomposed granite compacts firmly underfoot, requires virtually no irrigation once settled, and dramatically reduces your monthly water usage while giving small outdoor spaces a polished, intentional appearance.

Try Our CalculatorLennox gardeners with small side yards or narrow planting strips can create attractive, low-water borders by filling those areas with a fine bark mulch and planting drought-tolerant accent plants spaced generously apart. The mulch does the visual work of filling space while plants are establishing, and it suppresses the weeds that would otherwise dominate these neglected side areas. Even a modest bulk mulch order gives you more than enough material to transform multiple narrow strips around a typical Lennox property.

Delivering to Lennox, California
Primary ZIP: 90304Lennox residents who have removed old turf should avoid leaving bare soil exposed for more than a few days before applying a replacement surface. Bare soil in urban areas like Lennox quickly becomes a magnet for weed seeds carried by wind and foot traffic, and once weeds establish in open ground they are far harder to manage. Whether your plan is decomposed granite, ground cover plants, or mulch beds, getting a surface material down quickly is the most effective way to prevent a weed problem from taking hold.
